To Kitty (holocaust)

I read your diary of two years in an attic,
hidden from the enemy until being discovered,
how did one so young have so much insight,
how did a talented teenager compile so much writing under such awful conditions and the fear of being found out.
I read your diary and it left me distraught,
what a loss to literature this was,
like the many millions destroyed by mans malicious killing machine,
like the many millions who perished in prison camps.
i should have been with you,l could have done something,
i could have been protective,
i should have been with you, we could have shared everything,
we could have been two wordsmiths together,
i would have saved you from gas and starvation,
i would have saved you from disease and death and you would have been here today,
if only you could know what legacy you left behind,
and if you had of survived you would have gone on to inspire many.
You wrote as if you knew what was coming,
you wrote as if you knew your fate.

In literature, if one is to concerned with grammar one is being pedantic and missing the point.
I really like the flow of this eloquent piece of poetic prose...... when you read thins aloud you gain insight into its 'power of continuity'....... the aching to reach out and to help her runs throughout and brings the longing to the forefront BEAUTIFULLY!!.......ALL STARS!!..... well done dear poet sister/brother?.......and......WELCOME to COSMO!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo ?β΄β€
