To Lay In Her Arms

Two days now of rain we've had, cold damp and miserable
just as cold
Indoors
When once I had the warmth of her body to see me through those winter
days
To lay with her was such joy
when all was cold and damp
Outside our
door
Soon the snow and Ice will
Come but no longer the warmth of her body I
feel
If just one more time with
her body I could lay, In return I'd give my all, together we would beat the winter
snow
Together then we'd greet the winter thaw, the melting of
the snow and Ice, the
beautiful sun come breaking
through
Then hope a good summer to follow we would have, to lay In each other arms beneath the warming sun.

My arms reach out to hold her
But she's no longer there
Their emptiness destroys me
For life, I no more care
.
The winter soon is coming
My second without her near
My days are long and tear-filled
But the nights I mostly fear
.
For I lay in bed alone now
No dear Soulmate to hold me close
What used to be my laughter
Are now moans of most morose
My Dear Johnny,
Again, I feel your tremendous pain. Again, as I said in my last poem, I pray that soon someone will come into your life, who is able to relieve it.
All my love,
Larry xxx
