Today

One day I pray that I won't hurt the people closest to me due to the pain I felt 

One day I hope to dream dreams that even martin Luther king couldn't see 

One day i will look to you and I will hear son I am so very proud 

One day  I will choose to grow up embracing the love God has blessed me with 

One day I will die 

One day I will live 

One day I will learn 

Today is the day I smile and embrace the happiness I seek 

Today is the day I reap the seeds  that I sowed ever so long ago 

Today is the day I shake off defeat and find peace
