" Today I Doubted GOD! "

" Today I Doubted GOD! "

Today, as I hobbled along, I had a doubt creep ever so deeply into my mind
About the nature of men, and about my belief, and my FAITH in the divine
I wondered why one man is raised to higher graces and another so neglected
Or why one can be so highly exalted, and another so sorely afflicted
But then, these words came to me, words, I so respected:

ALL of this is beyond the power of human understanding, it cannot be any different
No amount of discussion or contemplation can possibly fathom divine Judgment
Judgments are to be respected, questions engender quarrels and useless controversies
They also promote pride and presumption, & eventually preclude tenderness and mercy
There's an infinite gap between the thoughts of imperfect man, and an enlightened one
Enlightenment is such a simple thing, it's heavenly revelation, wherein HIS will be done
If anyone were to know which SAINT, is the holier in the Kingdom of heaven's glory
Knowledge would do him no good unless he humbled himself, then rose to tell the story
Of the wisdom that God has bestowed on us through our faith and belief in his existence
Through our actions show love of him by loving others, also those who show  resistance
So even though today, as I hobbled, I doubted my faith in the divine
HE was there for me, for it was God that brought these words to me
To help me, ease my mind.....

Truly wonderful piece!

Encouraging and supportive.

An inspiration!

Love how you took the reader through the ups and downs of the difficult walk of faith.

Yes, at times I agree that our faith is tested but as you pointed out God answers our questions if we keep faith that He is Lord by letting Him gently flow into our thoughts, hearts and souls if we remain open to receive  His grace and wisdom.

Love the way you took us through your thought processes and made full circle by sustaining faith, respect, gratitude and the act of humbling yourself.

Yes, indeed who are we to question God?

We are all a part of the body of God and what part of the body questions another?  Every part of the body works together and in that unity is where great and useful purpose derives. Have faith that all things of God work for good beyond our comprehension.

5 stars! :)
