HISTORY LESSON FOR ALIENS

I think it only fair to say
It was indeed
The devil's fault
For they did not know
As we do
And disregarded
All the clues...

For they were not at all
Enlightened
In all the higher ways
And clung tight
To their demons...

These ones
Who walked
Earth's days...

Gods and devil's were
External things
To be blamed and cursed

And judged...

Held to account
For every ill
Every wrong thing
That was done...

But the truth was there
So plain to see
In the war and hate
And polluted seas...

In the toxic air
In the dying trees
Who
Screamed
And cried
The fates...

Though
They sadly learned
All truths
Too
Late...

That good
And evil
Are just things inside
That cling within
The mortal ride...

That the choice was theirs
To relinquish greed
To nurture soul
And spirit...

To change their ways
And respect all life
To pull up weeds
And replant the earth
With love
And all the
Withered seeds
Of
Goodness...

And to know
The god
Inside themselves
To ignore their demons
Goading voice
And it's sad to note
That throughout their reign
This path
Was not
Their choice...

And it should be said
That by the end
Twas mostly devils
Roamed the earth
A cruel species
Full of hate
Twas
They
That killed all birth.
