Use your tongue

Flattery lips, lying tongues, 

deceitful words, boastful hearts,

the Lord despises.

Honest lips, truthful tongues,

sincere words, humble hearts,

the Lord loves.

Tongues are the smallest organ

but have the greatest power like

a rudder that steers a ship.

​Tongues are set on fire by hell, a 

world of unrighteousness, deadly 

poison and untamed.

Use your tongue to build not destroy.

Use your tongue to bless not curse.

Use your tongue to speak the truth

not lies.

Use your tongue to praise God not

mock him.

Use your tongue to encourage not 

discourage.

Use your tongue to bring life not

death.

Choose your words wisely, let it be 

healing words,  not spoken rashly.
