Poem -

Too Late

Life is ending
The wind no longer sways
All is soon gone

Time is running out
The clock is ticking
Leaves fall to their death

Is life all a game?
Mere amusement?
Is not the end of time just the beginning?

Every breath is a step closer
Every smile is a blessing forward
And every scowl is a sin warmer

Twirling in the stream of despair
Following your devil's desire
Playing, thinking you know the instructions

Did King Midas really turn everything to gold?
Is perception what what lack? Is deception only what we know?

Truth is screaming, but no one chooses to hear
A foolish person is he who blinds himself, then drowns in sin

As time runs out,
They open their eyes
But is it too late?
