Too Soon

Too Soon

Of all the words from hand of man

None more dangerous than those that ran

I love you!

And yet the time too short,

Wounds too deep, memories still caught

To say, I love you!

My soul cries out, my spirit restless,

feelings welling; dear God! I must not

Say, I love you!

Your spirit such a fragile thing

Your caring on wings may fling

Should I say? I love you!

In secret when while bed clothes rumble

Sleepless, yearning, mind a fumble

Only then do I say, I love you!
