Poem -

Too young to die

Too young to die

God where are you

My friend is dying

Just a child really

With cancer she lays

Nausea day in and out

Tears on hospital floors

Pain in the corridors

Anguish on the dad's face

Sisters wondering when,

When their sister will die?

Mum asks why,

Why my child God, why!

Why must a beautiful child die

She is far too young

O God I am going through

The 6 stages of grief at once

And my heart is broken

Truly we are dying with our child

This day, September 17, 2002

children like i have said have strength and acceptance more than adults can and its those two things when a child dies are remembered about them .my friends child age 6 died with cancer too but even near the end she had the strong will to accept. that childs power of acceptance will live on in you :)   tina x

I am so sorry for you to experience such a sad and frustrating event!  I lost my favorite childhood friend in a similar fashion.  I understand how hard it is to have to watch.

Beautiful sound and profound, heart felt to the soul. Thank you for sincere words and it's funny how words come about when looking foe an answer by coincidence it appears where you least expect it. This subject of sick children is deep within me. I have a nephew thats sick! I do whatever it takes to bring smiles instead of tears. I guess I'm the strong one, so they tell me. Thnx for harmoniuos words! wishing you the best..

Michael may your nephew be helped rather than hindered by the illness and he is fortunate to have you there!! Thank you for comments and good thoughts!
Best from
