Torch Bearer
When there was sadness and darkness
You held a blazing torch for happiness
Cutting a path for me through the gloom
Showing me how it would be better soon
Your light gave me a feeling of security
Your manner showed nothing but empathy
You were a shining beacon of real hope
Eager to teach a broken soul how to cope.
So I walk again with belief and confidence,
Thankful you were there to make a difference.

It was a hard slog, an eventful journey, getting to where I am now and I wrote this as a tribute to those making a difference to so many who have suffered mental health issues !

(to my mind).......while I read this ~ it came to me that what you're doing is writing a book of Love poems for the Love of your Life...........I'm sorry to assume anything on your behalf.........but it REALLY jumped out at me that she is a VERY lucky woman to have so many loving writes written specifically for her........real magic brother........so very special this kind of affection..........high fives bro!!..........well done.........T xo
You are a perceptive man in realizing that she was the one who saved me in the first instance when I was prepared to let it all go. She was there for me when I was at my lowest and stuck by me through my health issues and helped me cope with my disability. She is still here today lifting me up when I fall.
She provides a lot of my inspiration in writing and in life !
