Touch Down

The road looks straight

Until I hit a junction

Yet another disruption

And typical me...

I malfunction

I lose my compunction

Stall the mission

Foster resentment

Worsen the condition

Wheels fall off

I change vision

Shift gears

In another vehicle fueled by tears

For all the lost years

While squandering more

You'd think I'd have learnt this lesson before

Not to panic

Not to walk away

But it's easy for you to say

Harder to be us

Me and my story

All the guts without the glory

Somehow able to do the impossible

To crash land before ever taking off
