TOY SOLDIERS

Long lines of toy soldiers
Marching straight and tall
Just arms and legs
WHAT?
WHAT?
No heads?
All heads left there on walls

All heads
Exchanged for helmets
All thought
Traded for guns
All hope of life
Exchanged for bombs
RUN
RUN
RUN
RUN
RUN

Long lines of no questions
Clockwork soldiers
On the march
Orders boy!
Look sharp!
Be brave!
Be proud!
March on!
Walk tall!!

Smart young lads
In dress up clothes
Off to war and glory
But death awaits
All brave young lads
In
Same
Old
Bloody
Story

And who will mourn
The brave young boys
All sacrificed
Like
Plastic
Toys

NOT THEM
NOT THEM
NOT THEM.

A Lonely Journey

Hi Marionette,
You're a terrific writer. You have such a great way of addressing your point so soundly with just the sparingly right use of words, and it's quite a skill. I wish I could write like that. I put in a million words for each thought. lol. (my last one was brutal. I got 3 million reads, 1 accidental 'like'(someone fell asleep and their nose hit enter when the cursor was on like), and, of course, a beautiful response from the ever awesome Cheerie, but that's it. Berrruuuutal!

Great write. You're talented, lung yady!

Matthew.

Fortunately for you, you did, so be happy! lol.
It's terrible, don't read it. Thank you for the wonderful words, though.
I'm trying to write something amusing, but I have so much trouble finding amusement in life anymore, but I want to get it out of my head...like my brain(which is in a jar on my desk. I had it surgically removed as it was making my hats look bulbous. Oh well.
Thanks Marionette!
Matthew.
