Traditional Festivities

Traditional Festivities

Dismal dark days brightened by traditional festivity, candles glowing, joviality flowing, little children dressed to impress for the annual nativity.. shepherds standing on a school stage decked out in Mother’s flannelette sheet..angelic angels clad in white with tinsel halos, Oh don’t they look so sweet

Acting out each other’s roles, they have been rehearsing this for ages, with the teacher as their tutor reading scripts from the historic pages..Mary and Joseph both stand  together nervously, knocking on a cardboard door “Is there room at the inn ?” rather a trifle earnestly.. friends and families are all seated with huge happy smiling faces, listening very carefully to their tiny tots learned literature from the bible’s glories and graces

Christmas day is looming near with great excitement and elation, those moments in time when gifts are given right across the nation.. spreading sheer joy and happiness on such an annual celebration, children everywhere can’t contain their hullabaloo of innocent intoxication..and all because a little boy was born in a stable, our taken for granted religious ancient fable..but what do we possess if not the blessing of belief and the trust in our creator, the Lord God Almighty, High chief
