tranquility

tranquility

Can I escape in the trees,

and float away on the breeze,

to a place where no words can touch me?

Can I stay there all day,

just dancing away,

dancing away all my worries?

In a place where the trees are forever green,

and the air is crisp and clear.

Where the river has a rushing flow,

and there is laughter in every tree.

Where my soul is at peace,

and my mind is at ease,

and my heart has regained its strength.

Now can the breeze take me there,

to be free of all my cares,

so that my heart can once again have wings?
