~Transition~

If  you could walk in my shoes 

To be me for one day 

To live in my past, and be the victim 

To feel what I feel 

To be swallowed in the darkness 

To feel a rage that  fills you up with hate 

Suffocating in the sadness 

Leaving you breathless 

Being consumed  in pain 

Drowning in misery feeling overwhelmed 

Smothering in emotions 

Being crushed by despair 

Coming undone losing all control 

You can't overcome this dark place 

Confusion is not understanding 

A sickness that has taken control 

A battle you fight with every new day 

Could you defeat it?  

When it steals your sanity 

And taken away your will to be 

Could you be me?

To understand this pain 

Inside the madness 

And  understand the sadness 

The tears that fall like rain 

Understand the broken soul 

That has become me 

Could you break free?
