There are so many places I wish I could go to.
There are so many countries, I know I will go to.
I have a list, you see. It's a long one.
Some I want to visit for the culture, the food, the fun.
Some I want to visit for the History, the landscapes, the view.
Egypt has always fascinated me.
Since I was a kid, really.
Then Greece came second.
And I had learnt the names of all the Gods.
I want to see the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Pharaos, 
locked in their beautiful caskets covered richely
with gold, jewls and precious stones.
I want to see the Parthenon
The place where was born Democracy
To remind me that our world is not so torn
even if Democracy now rhymes with hypocrisy.
But also because wherever I go
And it looks and feels old and ancient,
I always picture in my head how people 
used to be like back in those days.
