Poem -

Traveling heart.

He curled up in a blanket
Along the hwy
By the South coast

Stopped to watch his dreams
like a fading ghost

He'd traveled many places
Seen familiar faces

But none that touched his soul
He lay there silent
Within the freezing cold

In his mind the wheels were turning
the roads were cold alone

Couldn't remember
the way to his heart

or a place
he could call home

Laying silent on the hwy
All alone

To watch his dreams pass by
Falling a single tear

From his eye
Frozen in a motion

The wheels stood still
within his head
In that very moment

His traveling heart
was dead

He went quietly within the night
Beneath the stars above

finally he knew of home
And a place to lay his love

Stopped to watch his dreams
fading like a ghost

Died within the presence
Of the holy ghost

Surrendered to the love eternal
God his loyal host
