Triumph

Triumph

You held me back
Cast me to the ground
You stumped me down til I was done
You bursed my heart and left me there til time gave me a cause to heal
My protected, my safe haven, my bearer
But you became my neglector and my despair
You open that door cast me out
You sent me there with endless care
You teared the seams of life with no way to stitch the tears
With shattered dreams, no hope, despair, filled with fear, and through it all
You taught me ,no longer to despair
To stand my ground, stand up strong
To let my cause prove you wrong
