Poem -

truth shall set you free

Another piece to the puzzle,
in place ,
All those lies,
Behind a fake face,
To shallow to admit it,
So it was my heart,
that did it,
Walking away,
Well so you say,
Total isolation if I'd stayed,
To weak to admit,
your love for another ,
Pushing me away,
I hope you choke,
On these words one day,
I didn't leave you,
I kicked you out within doubt ,
Tears for years I'd cried,
Not one did you see,
Or confide ,
My heart broken,
Fragile pride,
They say the truth,
shall set you free ,
I know now the love ,
that was there wasn't from you,
But me,
And once i let go ,
The truth i could see,
It wasn't you who cared,
It was always me.

Another thought provoking and emotive write Nardine.  I loved the opening

Another piece to the puzzle,
in place ,
All those lies,
Behind a fake face,
To shallow to admit it,
So it was my heart,
that did it,
Walking away,
Well so you say,

Those lines 'to shallow to admit it, so it was my heart that did it',  Beautifully conveyed, and incredibly poignant.  A great piece, you write with real grit from your heart Nardine.  A strong write from a strong woman:)x

Concluding lines ventilate the hidden dispute -

"The truth i could see,

It wasn't you who cared,

It was always me."

Nardine

A very hard hitting poem that is all too close to home..
What a release for you to be able to write such powerful lines ...

All those lies,
Behind a fake face,
To shallow to admit it,
So it was my heart,
that did it,
Walking away,
Well so you say,
Total isolation if I'd stayed,
To weak to admit,
your love for another ,
Pushing me away,

Well done hun...you delivered this piece with raw passion!
