Poem -

TUCKER'S FINAL FISH FRY

TUCKER'S FINAL FISH FRY

We said goodbye
last month
Though
We did
Not say
It in words

It has only been
25 days
But I have
Been told
I need to
"Carry On"

The fact
Is
I am
Not
Ready
To

We never
Had that
Last
Trip
Together
That I was
Determined
To provide
You
Nor
That last
Conversation
Where
I would
finally
Redeem
Myself

To the
adventure
that
Never
Came
I will
Meet
You
There

Wait for me
at the
Cabin
In Elysian
And bring
grand pa,
grand ma
and your
Siblings
If you
Would
Like

Yes
You got
It right!
I  am wanting
Another
Tucker
Fish Fry.

One made
In a Hevenly Fashion
Where
The brim
Is fried
To perfection
and the conversation
Is filled
With Laughter

Uncle David
There will
Be no
Need to
Carry
There

But I kinda
Believe
You
Will
Anyway
If for no
other reason
Than to
Have a conversation
Piece

And
Dad
Your grandson
Borrowed
Your fishing
hat
But he
Will
Bring
it
At
The final
Reunion
The Tucker's
Final
Fish
Fry
Where
Finally
we
Will
Partake
In
The Lord's
Supper

HI Greg...There always seems to be loose ends to tie up after someone close dies....but the feeling that there was things left unsaid and regrets....so hard to let go.  Memories can be bittersweet too....That final fish fry sounds like a good way for family to come together as family can bring healing.  I am sorry for your loss of your father.  xo ;)
