Exchanging stinging verbal barbs
at my local dive bar
with an inebriated alien
who did not know
human rules of engagement 

When it dared to call me
a pansy asparagus
my fellow homo sapien patrons
were aghast at a diss too far

Being a man
I had to respond
to put the usurper in it's place
so I splashed my tormentor in the face
with my fruit punch libation

Much to my surprise
the creature melted before my eyes
like that mean green witch
in that drug inspired flick
somewhere over the rainbow

Needless to say
my ignorant response display
caused an intergalactic incident
as the puddle I did create
was formerly a highly connected
intelligent alien insect
who his pissed friends
will now seek to war avenge
at my entire species expense
