Turning 30

I'm soon to be 30
The time has gone quick
I have a beautiful partner
And that is not it

I have an amazing daughter
And a dog that I love
I have a family around me
Who go beyond and above 

I have a good job
Even when I moan
Protecting vulnerable children
Giving them hope
Teaching them ways 
To be able to cope

Although I'm nearly 30
A new mile stone
I could never have got here
 all on my own

I thank my friends and family
For all of their love
And hope when I'm forty
It's the same as above.
