TWENTY TWO YEARS AGO

Twenty two years today we still remember you
A kind and loving princess that much is true
Her name was Diana and she was a gentle soul
Always helping humanity was her ultimate goal

A champion for the homeless and the less needy
Diana was an angel and never greedy
An empty void was left when she tragically died
The nation wept and the nation cried

I am no royalist that's for certain and sure
However dear Diana may you rest in peace forever more
