Twilight

Twilight.
Convince me that the season longs for my embrace. It's been so long that I have felt the fire in my heart, and the sun on my face,
Give me reasons to not hide away from the gentle light of day, there's has to be a bitter sweet momentum anyway,
Could I persuade you to accompany me in darker colder places, maybe where the willows hang low, in peculiar spaces,
I have not met the daybreak with a tendency to wish it night, but find myself my home in shades without the light,
Oh how does the season know when flowers are to seed, I too should come not barren, to life again and bleed,
Isn't that the finest feature of a woman then to tell, the baring of a tiny life, inside a body dwell,
To note that all may be forgiven, in loss my body mourns those babes as though, particularly in this renewal of winter, when all I feel is snow,
Cold remains of love lay changed by appearance and by name for nothing but the empty womb, makes twilight seem the same.
