Twisted Forever Together
As told by Hackberry to Red Ash

When we were little twigs sprouting from the ground
I sensed something special in you I had found
Though we were different, I don't mean to sound sappy
Just a whiff of your aroma makes me so happy
As the wind blows your foliage in my face
My limbs long for your branches to embrace
Your curvy bough around my trunk weaves
Covering me with your beautiful green leaves
We live in the woods by sunny day and moonlit night
Although tangled together, touching your bark is a delight
As we continue to grow from our roots to the sky
We stand twisted forever together
Love is the reason why
A True Tree Story
PS: As you look at us I hope you can see
God's beautiful creation
Was for you and not just me

Interesting and different Shirley...enjoyed the read x
Thank you so much.
What a lovely read, I especially enjoyed the analogy, life and personal growth to wild trees. Very spiritual and in my personal opinion, sentimental write. Enjoyed Shirley!!
Thank you. I appreciate your thoughtful comment.
My Dear Shirley,
I have one question to ask you. Why such a gifted poet as yourself, hasn't given your ardent followers any works since June? I just found this poem today, and find it mesmerizing, the way you have portrayed love between two of God's creations. WE WANT MORE!
Peace and Love,

From a very talented poet like yourself, your comment means a lot to me. Thank you.
You know I was missing coming up with new poems, seems I have been too busy. However, actually for last year or so, I did write a poem story about my life and lessons I have learned for my grandkids. Then I researched angels and wrote a short poem story about different kinds of angels and their purpose according to the Bible and some studied ministers like Billy Graham and Dr. Jeremiah and some others. I did this for my cousins and family members. Too long for cosmofunnel. After the holidays, maybe I will be inspired by something. The above poem was actually inspired by a hike by a college and these 2 trees were twisted together and looked so pretty, I had to make time to write about them. Thank you again Larry,
My Dear Shirley,
Looking forward to your post holiday poem.

Thanks. Yes, I love reading other people's poems and being in awe of their imagination. It does help stir up ideas.
