Two drops of tears

I was always first for supper,
Asking for more and more
Knowing not if there was!
My mother always poured
Everything cooked at home,
And was always last to eat!
I grew fat and handsome,
My mother grew lean and pale
Knowing never how could it happen!
Now Iβm grown up and wealthy
Bothered not of the leftover food.
Thence she admonished me
Had she got the waste then,
She wouldnβt have been
As lean and pale as she is now!
Rolled down two drops of tears
Down my eyes abruptly
Never after then I ate first,
Feeding her always first!

Β hi, very touching, mothers are sacrificial, put their children first and they are lasted.Β Β
Thanks. It is a page from my own life.
We must eat to live, not live to eat, but children never understand that, without food gets sick and not be grown. As the mother of Jaison I also I think that place food in the trash is a capital sin, especially, when there is so much hunger and such a need in the world. They say that there is so much wasted food that not only could provide food to Cuba, also many places in the world in Miami trash bins. A greeting.
