I traversed time through waters deep.

Centuries in the air my soul did keep.

A thousand miles through mountains high.

Searching until my heart touched the sky.

And there love's threads they did entwine.

My soul found its mate, a love divine.

Written in deep ink, our words take flight.

Our souls meet in love's sweet delight.

Now the night has bullied the day away I have time to analyse

as poems and messages sashay their way across the backs of my eyes.

Rivers of words flow into a sea and I can no longer disguise

dreams that acquire substance and take on the guise of spies

in once dormant pockets of a heart where love now lies.

Nothing can stem the tide of feeling, one word is enough.

Echoes of all that's been written or said, that one word is love.
