Ultimatums

Ultimatums

ultimatums

she looked at me
her eyes were wild.
I wondered what on earth
have I done.
we had been dating five years
I have never seen her like this.
she shouted at me.
she never shouts.
you can marry me now
my clock is ticking
I want a family and home.
if you don't do it
you can go your way
and I can go my way.
I was roused
passions flying high
my face red
I said alright
if that's what you want.
you can go your way
and I will go your way too
