Under a Delusion

Accusations of delusions spit from their lips.
You seek grandeur you shall not achieve.
"Do what you can," they say. Survive!
No. It is not me who is under a delusion.
For I can. I will. I am.
The delusion is not in me.
The delusion lies in you.
You think you can't change what needs change.
This is a delusion of powerlessness.
You are not powerless.
You are a warrior when a warrior is needed.
You are a lover when a lover is needed.
Powerlessness is not to be your legacy.
Is it?
For you can. You will. You are!

Strength seen and felt (deeply), within the words of this one, sheer assurance of oneself and faith and courage, (in who you are), leaks delightfully from this poem...Like the belief you display in this piece poetess Jamie...Jim
