Poem -

Under the Oak Tree.

Under the Oak tree so serine,
I feel like I am in a dream,
Our names are carved in the Oaks bark,
You'll be forever in my heart.

5 years have past since that great day,
Why did I throw it all away?
Do you still remember my name?
I know you will never feel the same.

Your brown hair was flowing with ease,
The leaves blow in the autumn breeze,
Your voice embedded in my mind,
So I drowned my thoughts in red wine.

Under the oak tree cold as stone,
I am here standing all alone,
Remembering our benign past,
What was first, now is last.

Did you forget the song I made?
Regretting that I didn't stay,
Your eyes are as deep as the sky,
That would make any grown man cry.

Under the oak tree still alone,
Realizing our love turned to stone,
I never will see a second chance,
Nor never again a second glance.
