Under willow green. By Jude kyrie

Under willow green. By Jude kyrie

Far below the silent mountains
Where heaven find its sleep
A lazy brook is stirring
Though a lonesome winding creek.

Stands a single weeping willow
In the shade of a majestic pine.
Underneath its swaying branches
Sleeps she who once was mine

Where the hot sun is always cooler
And the starlight cast just shade.
And the gentle filtered twilight
Kisses the place where she is laid.

Soft breezes whisper secrets
of love's promises once made.
The weeping willows branches
Sway lowly to  gently kiss her grave
Caressing her granite headstone
With each tender loving wave.

Forget me nots catch dewdrops
In their golden eyes like tears
Hoards of Lilly's watch them quietly
Like a host of angels near

In the heavens far above us
where the days are forever light.
Where no loss or grief can enter
There exist no death or night

There in its ever sunlit glory
Our love will again enshrine
Me and the one beneath the willow
In the shade of a majestic pine
