Uniforms

Uniforms

I see people all around.
Behind those smiles lies a frown.
Not content with their lives.
Then the man asks me if I would like some fries.
I say “hey dude, are you happy with what your life has become,
working a shit job, I would rather be a bum?"
He glares for a sec and says “I have a family to keep afloat”.
And here we are all in the same fucking boat.
I’m confused about life; I don’t know what to say
My dad told me, "you have to put in your time one day."
So that’s how it is, I have to conform.
Like everyone else put on a uniform.
