Unity

I come across as not being that bothered but that's an art I have perfected,

A smile, a joke,a couple of laughs, I'll have you believing I'm un-affected.
All my life I've just shrugged and said "you got to laugh or you'll be dead"

Now all my feelings are caught up inside and the laughing now feels shallow sometimes.

I wear a mask upon my face so you don't see,

What I hide beneath my armour is my sensitivity,

I cry sometimes when I'm all alone then stop myself from really letting go,

I worry all the time don't you see this worrying is eating me,

I can't switch off even in my sleep I wake up wishing for some relief, So when I say I need to talk don't think I don't believe,

I have every faith in US my love we are strong together but are drifting apart you see,

All I'm asking is for unity

Just to know you're by my side with what ever life gives us for the ride,

Any problems will be halved, because we talk, we share, we cry, we laugh.

Don't say it's just my negativity because this is worth the world,

Don't you see our family is the most important thing to me,

All I'm asking for is unity.
