Universal magic

The smile of a child
Rings echoes felt for miles and miles.
The second were born
From the first grin on.
Magic of plenty brings innocent introduction
The very first time the corners push upward.
That smile breaks through
Its born of pure joy glowing in its shear truth.
Magic flickers at the shallow end of a dimple
So powerful yet so simple.
Infectious in its upward design a force to not to be reckoned
Though its unseen to the eye that grin spreads world wide.
This magic to easily forgettable
Starts to fade as it runs low.
This inevitable transition takes place the older we grow.
Our sweet smile lost
To life we've exposed and know.
Some smile rare for joy
Some even crack one as they secretly ploy.
Find those pools of magic that once rested within your grin
At either end.
Through life's cycle the magic is replenished
In the grin of new born innocent
In the traces of that first smile still left
A joyful life is sure to overshadow all the rest.
Lips should rise up often
more than once in awhile.
Dig deep for the magic
that's still inside trying to hide
and you just might find
yep there's that smile.
