Unmasked clown

Treating life as a joke has its ups and downs 
Whilst my face smiles my soul frowns 

Yesterday and tomorrow are the same as today 
Fending off change with excuses when it comes my way 

I close my eyes to see the real me 
And the places and the faces I need to be and see 

Hard to find the strength as my hearts always down 
To change the life of this lonely clown
