Unread Once More

On a table worn by many years
lie pages saturated by countless tears
Written by a man with no face
leaving them unread in this desolate place
Bound together by dust these sheets
bearing unknown tales of love's defeats
Running drops of ink stain the pages
confining his heart in deteriorating cages
The only witness to this ongoing madness
is the air fully pregnant with sadness
