Poem -

Unthinkable

Unthinkable

If I were ever to lose you

I don't know what I would do

You are the world to me

I would be resigned to misery.

You and I together so long

Our love always holding strong

It's unthinkable the worst should be

But one must respect mortality.

I pray I never see you taken away,

My soul ripped apart in utter dismay.

Feelings expressed so well in a poem. I also like the quote you chose. I will have to remember it.

Hello Richard...

Beautiful write!

It's a hard thing that whoever is taken away first the one left behind has it the hardest...

Too many times I see so much sadness when people say I want to go before you...

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...
