Did you ever float down stream

At the will of the water beneath 

Go with the flow

Take in the smells of a forest on a cool damp day 

Feel the sun at the beach as the waves lap at your feet 

Stop to hear a bird sing in a tree 

Butterfly flutter in a breeze by a spring 

Smile at a stranger with a warmth in your heart 

Sing really bad to a to a tune in your mind 

I can't remember the last time a did any 

Hard as I try they don't come to mind 

Wake like a robot 

Up with a rush 

Fighting the time God 

Rushing around 

Shower and shave 

Then off to the grime 

Slave to my pay cheque 

Focused climbing to buy what I'm told 

Living the way ones dictated to be 

Under Illusion I'm free
