People tell lies
And I don't understand 
Like the other day
When I got on the tram
And I'm all in my own 
I've never done this alone

And I was asking for help 
Cuz I can't read the sign
He said this one's mine
But it wasn't 
He lied 
And I can't fathom why 

And all that I wanted
Was to go home 
Because tired and hungry
And cold
And I needed a bath

But he lied
I just can't think why
And I'm trying to learn
About the world
Because I'm new 

And yeah that was a lesson 
But it still wasn't pleasant 
But I won't be discouraged 
It didn't ruin my day 
And I'm happy to say 
I found my way home
