Poem -

Point of view

While I could never smile
I don't want you rehearsing my point of view.

If you could see what I see

Life wouldn't need

Such tendency.

Now if my straw's a little short

It's only because

I'm battling.

Never worried things wouldn't work out.

I'm mostly excepting.

Anonymous acknowledgements

In the street from strangers

Put my mind at ease.

My idea's are a little behind

Of where they ought to be.

But I double down

To discover a realer reality.

I get out from underneath the life that's built up

For the sake of me.

Your title says it all. It’s all about a point of view. You see things that I don’t and vice verse. And that’s the beauty of sharing our poems & writes. Well said, Rory.  B

I remember being told once, People are different. It's true, sometimes I struggle with this. It just seems more energy conserving to see people as all the same. To celebrate everybody's difference comes at one's own cost. You have to be selective, don't you?

Of course we do, we cannot like everyone and everyone cannot like us. It's a part of life. As long as we like ourselves then it's all good. 🌹

In the past I've known to be to myself over critical, it's true. I think I can be a worrier. But I supposed I've always had a soft spot in my heart for me, sometimes even to the disclusion of others.
