Poem -

An unusual happiness

The aching of cold melted my veins
as the flames of it ascended my body I felt no pain
A slight pleasure came to tranquillise my mind from fear
I only saw the sanguine trail of blood
That seemed like lacerations carefully interwoven with one another
The beautiful red shun brilliantly
As if it were delicately stroked with a fine brush
As I Looked into the mirror I appeared almost as a painting
Carefully done but every aspect of red was descending freely
Distorting and twisting it separated and combined with itself
My heart ticked like a clock
Every second seemed like an infinity
The paint continued to flow gently
Ever so slowing
As time passed by the clock ticked slower
As if time were slowing down
The painting eventually stopped
And everything vanished
As I fell into an imaginary paradise
