Up in Flames
Go lie to someone else,
I'm through pretending I don't know,
That you live a double life,
As this leaves me to groan.
We use to be so close,
The years we both shared together,
But time has changed us now,
One for the worse and the other better.
I'll wait to get the call,
The one where I hear you have changed,
And that you finally walked away,
As your relationship would fade.
I'm not so cruel you see,
Just to turn and go away,
But I can't watch you burn,
The day your life goes up in flames.

There's definitely things I wouldn't want to see...
I often say I hope you're right and many times, I have to walk away...
There are times when I'm not sure and the answer comes pretty quick too many times, I lost count...
It's strange, and it hurts but, it's for the best...
