Poem -

Us....

He'll never like me

Us....

I try to ignore the unsteady beat.
That drums in my heart, I look at my feet.
Trying not to see what’s happening around,
He’s talking to her like, I’m not a sound.

I like to pretend that I won’t give in,
And can’t feel the pain, that sears past my skin.
Air stuck in my throat, I look up again,
I wish that their love-scene would come to an end.

He’s gone from my mind until someone else comes,
And makes me so jealous, my heart soon turns numb.
I just walk away slowly, knowing it can not be,
The dreams that I had, of us living happily.
