Poem -

Use To Be

If you could only taste what was once to become of me.
I gleamed brighter than the reflection of scattered stars kissing your glittered eyes.
Despise being apprised, I followed the footsteps into an avalanche of debris.
The trees danced with the wind to a song of opportunity, but I failed to see that they were slowly stiffening.
In a twinkling, like time spent inside a shattered hourglass, life passed me by.
