Valentine’s Day
   There is non today - 
The train tracks 
    Cannot bring 
  The lover 
    The kisses 
   The years of
Mr & Mrs 
   The day 
      He went away 
   Into a desert war 
      Never found again 
Love is not found 
    Love is born 
  Love is not a trinket - nor a
     A hallmark card 
     It is worn 
In the wrinkles of 
 Life 
&
   Love 
      In the tears of a goodbye 
   In the blink of an eye 
         The day he left for war 
       In these trenches 
    These blood stained mud trenches 
Where love rests 
  With a deep memory of a
