Valerie,
Have the birds
Ever sung so softly
A name
Whose countenance
Wears love yet
The blackest of chains
Whose all seeing eyes
Consume in the rain
And just like mine
Resume when it wanes
She piques my curiosity
A fan not to I
For my worthyness lacks
I'm merely an image
She sees in the black
Yet somehow she's drawn
To my oddness
A kin yet a kin
If blown in the wind
I still hear an echo

Where the angels dub her
Not villain nor crook
But a page
Just a page
