~ VENOMOUS VISITOR ~
It crawled into my fractured thoughts
Silently polluting my environ
It strangled all affection in me
And left me poisoned and broken....
My hands shaking for months on end
As venom coursed its way through my mind
Tearing my faith apart
Wrenching my heart
Leaving me frightened and bedridden
While all the time I felt like crying
I found myself unable
To swat it away
Because of a sudden realization
That it was truly, my first, real friend
Creating a funeral pyre
Of my previous life
And slowing down time
Leaving me with nothing
But time, time to think
Time to heal
And to unveil the false façade
Presented to us as God's appeal
This Venomous Visitor
Brought me friendship's truth
The proof that living fast and unthinkingly
Allows for no time to see
That God is, and always will be
Inside of you and me
And in sharing this Love
Freely,
Time slows and evil glows
Revealing true Godliness
Even when it approaches you
As a Venomous
Visitor.......

the thing about your poems is that you really have no idea what might be in store as you read further down.

I know you hurt everyday...
I know a lot of people who are in pain daily and though it would be easy for them to complain and want to quit...
But, they tell me I'm their inspiration...
