Veterans at very special to our world

Veterans Day is a special annual American holiday to remember all the soldiers who are fighting and who fought for our country. Veterans Day is celebrated around the would known as Remembrance Day or Armistice Day. The first US president Woodrow Wilson proclaimed a day to remember the veterans called Armistice Day on November 11, 1919. Congress amended this act on November 8, 1954 replacing “ Armistice” with veterans and that has been Veterans Day since then. Joseph Ambrose was a veteran for World War 1 and 86 years old man and attended parade for Veterans Day. They were remembering the people who died that were fighting for our country. There are about 24.9 million military veterans in the United States we honor. I have many veterans in my family such as my dad ,uncle, aunt ,and grandpa ex…when I was in Girl Scouts we sent girl scout cookies and made cards for the people in Iraq so we can send it there and some other places were they fight. I enjoy doing that because its always nice to make people happy when they have been away from home they will know nobody forgot about them. Its nice to have people who fight for our county. I hope we can one day save money for them so they can come back to see there family. Its so nice to meet them every where I turn there is someone wearing that wonderful uniform with US ARMY written on it. I always smile and wave. They are wonderful people who loves our country enough to fight for us.
