VIOLET GIBSON AND MUSSOLINI

Go back in time please to April the seventh 1926
Mussolini was in power and playing nasty tricks
An Irish lady named Violet had quite enough
Time for action she thought time to get tough

Mussolini had given a speech in the town square
Violet lay in wait for him to finish up there
Then out with a gun she shot him at point blank
He of course survived and had God to thank

Lucky to survive with just a graze on the nose
History was then changed forever I suppose
Violet was taken to an asylum on that April day
Thirty years inside so the many stories say

Mussolini of course became a fascist dictator
Violet Gibson hardly known as a perpetrator
An interesting true story that had to be said
The time that Violet wanted Mussolini dead
