We started the year with hopes and dreams, we never once imagined a road this long, 
To dance in the kitchen once more, to hear you sing the words to our favourite song, 
I would try my best to keep up, looking into your eyes, without stepping on your toes, 
Instead of grasping your hand, twirling you around, it now lays empty, with nothing to hold. 

Visit me with black roses, 
Show strength, in this virus, 
Fight for those, that are lonely, 
Stay safe, 
May your heart, keeps on growing.

I see nurses crying, I hear that people are dying, I'm to frail to keep on fighting, 
The world seems unfair right now, but please remember, our love was always exciting,
You have to stay strong for our beautiful children, remind them how a man should treat a woman, 
When they grow up, still show them pictures of me and you, show them the family we had, was so loving.
